3 Marker Challenge Virtual Playdate

The 3 marker challenge has been around for years and no matter how many times Sammy D watches them, she is always fascinated by the results and differing techniques people use while limited to only 3 colors. Background in case you’ve never heard of the challenge…People are assigned the same coloring sheet and have a large bin of markers. With eyes closed, they pick out 3 random colors and then use only those colors to complete their image. Sometimes there is a time limit, but our house likes to just take its time, to each their own! The beauty of making this a virtual playdate is that it gives a reason, topic, or ice breaker for kids to connect. The longer quarantine drags on, we’ve found that the kids are struggling at times to find things to talk about with their friends. The 3 marker challenge is often geared toward younger children but we have found that even tween or teens benefit from coloring and sharing positive time with their friends!
