I have always loved mazes and recently wanted to find a way to actually make them myself. This is a quick tutorial on how you too can create them for your siblings, parents, or friends! Start by downloading and printing one of the graph PDFs below. The squares and lines help you keep a consistent width path.

Large Graph Squares (easiest maze): Download PDF Here

Medium Graph Squares (medium maze): Download PDF Here

Small Graph Square (hardest maze): Download PDF Here

Place a piece of plain printer paper over the graph paper and tape it down to the table. This helps keep it in place so you can focus on following the squares.

Draw your start and end point. Use a pencil to lightly draw one solid path connecting the start and the end. Now erase sections of the path and add fake paths to throw people off the correct trail. Once your path is complete, trace everything in ink and erase the pencil marks. Add colors and themes to make the maze unique! Here is a quick video of all of the steps!

My sisters and I all came up with different designs. It was neat to see how we all interpreted it. Hope you enjoy them! Show us some of the mazes you’ve come up with! Can you make a really hard one! Also, pro tip, make a couple copies of your final maze (if you have a printer with a copy or scan function) then you can share it with even MORE people!
